Niko Strus

Niko Srus is a Ukrainian artist with a unique approach to painting. For over a decade, he has been creating artworks on repurposed leather, breathing new life into materials that were once clothing. Known for developing a specialized paint formula for leather, his portfolio includes approximately 500 pieces, many of which are held in private collections across Ukraine, Europe, the USA, Canada, and Japan. With 25 years of experience in leather clothing design, this craft inspired Niko’s transition to painting. His work often focuses on capturing human emotions, particularly through lifelike depictions of eyes, a hallmark of his style. He also actively supports Ukrainian causes, with 45 of his paintings auctioned to benefit the Revived Soldiers Ukraine organization. Niko’s exhibitions span Ukraine, Europe, and the USA.
